I was a middle and high school teacher in New York State, before I moved to Massachusetts. I taught all levels of mathematics from pre-algebra to trigonometry. Here, in MA, I work for an educational publishing company that creates numerous textbooks for colleges around the globe. I currently develop mathematical content for online educational lessons.

I have always been, and still am, passionate about educating and teaching mathematics. I devote as much of myself as possible to helping students learn and break through the barriers of mathematics.

I view math as a puzzle - when all the pieces are facing the correct direction, the result is clear.

Approved Subjects

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

Algebra is my favorite math subject. I correlate it to jigsaw puzzles, where everyone has a certain system or plan to carry out and problem solve to complete the whole picture. Mathematics can be considered a two-way street - if there is a way to move forward, then there is a way to go in reverse. The base for algebra is to solve equations which is the reverse of order of operations.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

Algebra is my favorite math subject. Mathematics can be considered a two-way street - if there is a way to move forward, then there is a way to go in reverse. The base for algebra is to solve equations which is the reverse of order of operations. Algebra 2 is more expansive topics from Algebra 1, but ultimately the same skills.
Geometry

Geometry

If we consider Algebra to the abstract, then Geometry can be considered the visual. Although there is a lot of memorizing and factual reasoning. The ability to prove why a mathematical topic works is a skill like no other. Many artistic and trades rely on geometric concepts to provide a successful vision for content.
Logic

Logic

I learned logic when I was in college, during my student teaching experience. I have taught truth tables, tautologies, and equivalent statements to advanced 8th graders (pre-algebra) and high school algebra students. I currently create and review content that contains logic for college students. To have students succeed in logic, I start by teaching the four basic truth tables of the following statements: negation, conjunction, disjunction, and the implication. Knowing these truth values, leads to more complicated truth statements and eventually the equivalence of statements, such as, inverse statements, converse statements, and the contrapositive. Once a student has mastered these truth values and equivalent statements, the next level are the logic proofs. Logic proofs use ten laws that are used to deduce a conclusion. I have taught logic proofs to 10th grade classes.
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

Prealgebra is the backbone to solving equations. Learn order of operations with all numerical sets such as Whole numbers, integers, fractions and rational numbers, decimals and irrational numbers, Mixed numbers and all types of numbers combined. Understanding variables and rules of exponents. Order of operations is a necessary skill for solving equation, which is the heart of algbra.
Trigonometry

Trigonometry

Combine algebra with the geometry of circles and you get trigonometry. The study of angles within triangles and circles.
Precalculus
