I am a complete book worm, nerd, and dork. Literature and language fascinate and captivate me; so much so, that it is my life's work to help struggling readers, writers, and students with dyslexia to achieve and succeed in school and their daily lives.

I previously taught for 5.5 years as a middle grade literacy specialist, and am now a special education administrator at a charter school in New Bedford. I have been involved in education for 10+ years.

I am trained in Language Circle's Story Form, Report Form, and Framing Your Thoughts programs. I am also trained in Self-Regulated Strategy Development, which is a multi-sensory, writing-based program that teaches students to learn to self-regulate and apply learned skills and strategies to their everyday writing.

I am certified in Wilson Reading System as a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner. I have also worked with students with language-based disabilities at my current school; have written, reported on, and followed-up on their IEP goals as well as assessed and written formal reports regarding any assessments that I have given.
