I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Writing, Literature, and Publishing from Emerson College. I graduated magna cum laude from their Honors Program. I was one of two Iwasaki Scholars chosen per graduating class, an honor given to students who showed outstanding potential. While at Emerson, I also completed courses in proofreading, fiction writing, and English literature. Before that, I achieved a perfect score on the SAT Writing section, and a near-perfect score in Reading Comprehension.

I'd also love to help you read better, write better, and boost your grades by closely following your assignment's directions to make sure you've fulfilled all requirements. I tutored two awesome 14-year-olds who had been struggling in middle school English. The three of us became the dream team by end of semester. We started with what they already knew, and built up their skills together by answering questions. Every time they found a word they didn't know, we made a flashcard. Before the end of each session, we did a super-fast fire round (more fun that way) of all the flashcards. Their vocabularies exploded! Synonym, homonym, antonym, they knew it all! We were all three so pleased by June.
I also did a year of 1-on-1 English tutoring for a college freshman. We reviewed her assignments, made a plan, and I walked her through how to think about each piece of the assignment. She did her work in real time while I helped her get her brain unstuck if she drew a blank.
