Hi! I'm Haley. Thanks for visiting my profile! I recently earned my Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from UMass Boston. Beyond the time spent on workshops and teaching/editor assistantships, I loved helping youth poets submit writing pieces for publication through editing sessions. I believe it is crucial to encourage emerging readers’ and writers’ progress rather than hyper-criticize their work. I'd much prefer highlighting all the growth you've shown since you first began tutoring sessions with me.

Alongside completing MFA coursework, I led 5 undergraduate creative writing courses throughout 2 years. Every 21-student class had an age range from 18-40 years old, which motivated engaging discussions and workshops where many students of differing backgrounds connected. As a tutor, my English lessons offer personalized one-on-one guidance based on your learning needs. I always welcome questions or ideas about the material! Our objective is to improve reading, writing, and essay proficiency.
