I first began teaching as an MS student, where I taught college-level laboratory courses which included short, concise classroom lectures and individual practical instruction on laboratory activities. I also held office hours to help students one-on-one with lab and course material, including prepping for exams. These experiences made me discover how much I enjoyed crafting lectures to illustrate key concepts and how to follow up with individuals to ensure they understood the material. The students I taught ranged in age from college freshmen, to returning adult students well into their thirties!
I finished my MS degree with a 3.85 GPA and received an “Outstanding Graduate Student” award in 2018. As a currently working Chemist in the biotechnology field, I use foundational chemistry concepts every day and that practical experience, paired with my experience teaching at the college level makes me confident in my ability to help you conquer chemistry!
