I am a certified Dyslexia Practitioner with 27 years of experience teaching elementary and middle school students with diverse learning needs. I hold Massachusetts licenses in Elementary Education (1–6), Moderate Disabilities (PreK–8), and Special Education Administration. Throughout my career, I have specialized in language-based instruction, helping students build confidence and develop strong reading, writing, and executive functioning skills. I have extensive experience working with students with dyslexia, language-based learning disabilities, ADHD, and other learning differences in both classroom and one-on-one settings.
My teaching approach is structured, individualized, and supportive. I use evidence-based, multisensory methods to help students strengthen phonemic awareness, decoding, fluency, reading comprehension, spelling, and written expression. I believe every child can succeed when instruction is tailored to their unique learning profile, and I work closely with families to create a positive and encouraging learning experience.
In addition to my K–8 teaching experience, I have served as a clinical supervisor and adjunct instructor in higher education, mentoring future educators and supporting teacher preparation programs. Whether I am working with struggling readers, students needing organizational support, or learners seeking enrichment, my goal is to help students develop the skills and confidence they need to become independent, successful learners.
