I am a freshman at American University in Washington, D.C., and I have been teaching guitar, piano, and drums to kids ages 8 to 15 and beginners in my neighborhood and online for over five years. I've been playing instruments for ten years, and I write, perform, and produce my own music. I completed a guitar intensive in 2023 and a five-week music performance intensive in 2024 at Berklee College of Music. I believe the best way to learn music is by playing what you love to listen to. That is how I learned to play guitar. My teachers would help to dissect the technique, theory, and concepts. I try to make the process exciting and enjoyable for each kid by tailoring the lessons to their abilities and working with their interests. I also have experience teaching in formal settings. During the year, I teach 3rd-5th grade Sunday Hebrew school. I am also a volunteer in ESL schools, where I support students of all ages in learning English. I am especially passionate about teaching music, and I hope to bring joy and confidence to my students through playing and learning!
