I'm an engineer with 20 years of shipping production software: I've scaled a platform to 450,000 users, built computer-vision and diffusion-model pipelines in PyTorch, and I contribute to open-source AI tools used by hundreds of thousands of practitioners.

One of the most useful things I teach is how to use AI as a tool — prompting well and orchestrating agents to turn an idea into a working app, even if you're early in your coding journey. I recently helped a student learn Claude Code well enough to ship two iOS apps from scratch: a music-and-running tracker and a bird-call identifier.

My sessions are hands-on and project-based. I break complex programming and ML ideas into small, clear steps, drawing on real systems I've built and deployed — from React frontends to PyTorch pipelines and the kohya-ss diffusion framework (6.2k+ GitHub stars). I've mentored junior developers and recently coached a researcher building a Python/PyTorch video-analysis pipeline.

I'm at my best with students learning JavaScript, React, Python, machine learning, or how to build with AI agents.
