Bio

I am a Sophomore at WENU majoring in Secondary-Ed Mathematics. In both semesters of my freshman year, I have been on the Dean's List. Throughout my education I have always been an honor student, earning my place in NJHS (National Junior Honor Society) and NHS (National Honor Society). I have experience in math subjects up to Calculus II, however, am only comfortable tutoring up to Pre-Calc. I have experience in tutoring as I was a tutor in high school with NHS (3 years). I have tutored people ranging from elementary school to high school.

I prefer one-on-one sessions at established locations to ensure I can give the proper time and effort into the students academics. However, if students feel uncomfortable meeting one-on-one I am more then happy to work with them in bringing a friend or other trusted person. I need to know which topic you are asking for help in before we meet so that I can be completely prepared. If a copy of the work could be sent beforehand that would be extremely helpful.

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

While in high school, I was part of the NHS where I was a tutor for the school. I helped students were struggling in Algebra 1 by explaining different methods on how to find the correct answers as I understand that everyone learns differently. Most of the time it would be one-on-one sessions where we would go over the problems they brought as well as problems I made to demonstrate the material. At the end of the meeting I would have them explain back to me the processes of solving the problems we worked on to ensure they understood the materials.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

While in high school, I was part of the NHS where I was a tutor for the school. I helped students were struggling in Algebra 2 by explaining different methods on how to find the correct answers as I understand that everyone learns differently. If someone was struggling I would give the other students examples to work on and work one-to-one with the student who was struggling to grasp the concepts. At the end of the meeting I would have them explain back to me the processes of solving the problems we worked on to ensure they understood the materials.
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

While in high school, I volunteered at the local elementary school and helped by tutoring students who struggled with elementary math. I would explain different methods on how to find the correct answers as I understand that everyone learns differently. If someone was struggling I would give the other students examples to work on and work one-to-one with the student who was struggling to grasp the concepts. At the end of the meeting I would have them explain back to me the processes of solving the problems we worked on to ensure they understood the materials.
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

While in high school, I was part of the NHS where I was a tutor for the school. I helped students were struggling in Pre-Algebra by explaining different methods on how to find the correct answers as I understand that everyone learns differently. If someone was struggling I would give the other students examples to work on and work one-to-one with the student who was struggling to grasp the concepts. At the end of the meeting I would have them explain back to me the processes of solving the problems we worked on to ensure they understood the materials.
