As a certified, state-licensed grade 8-12 math teacher with several years of classroom experience, I understand firsthand how challenging math can be and where students most frequently get stuck. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with a wide range of age groups, specializing in middle school and high school mathematics, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Multilingual Geometry, and Intermediate Algebra. My goal as an educator is to eliminate the nightly tears and frustration that often come with math homework by breaking down complex, intimidating concepts into manageable, bite-sized pieces. Because I am in the classroom every single day, I am entirely familiar with current standard school curricula, the common pitfalls that trip students up on exams, and exactly what it takes to help a student catch up, keep up, or get ahead.

My personal tutoring approach is patient, highly structured, and entirely centered around building true conceptual rather than just memorizing shortcuts. During our online sessions, I utilize an interactive digital whiteboard where both the student and I can write, graph, and solve problems together in real time, simulating a true face-to-face learning environment. I meet each student exactly where they are - whether they need rigorous remediation to fill in foundational learning gaps from previous years, or advanced enrichment to prepare for upcoming standardized tests. I focus heavily on building student's confidence alongside their mathematical skills, ensuring they feel supported, encouraged, and capable of tackling any problem independently. I look forward to working with you to achieve your academic goals!
