In addition to my college-level writing experience, I am also trained as a volunteer literacy tutor for beginning readers. I worked with elementary school students one-on-one over two years as part of a literacy intervention program. I am a firm believer that a methodical, phonics-based literacy education is the most effective way to help beginning readers fall in love with reading.
