I've earned a Bachelor's degree in Music (Multimedia & Electronic Music Experiments – MEME) from Brown University in 2016, and a Master's in Music (Music Production, Technology & Innovation – MPTI) from the Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain in 2017. I started tutoring almost 15 years ago, when I started private trumpet lessons. Since then, I've worked with a wide range of kids between middle school and college ages for various companies, both public and private. I've met kids in libraries and cafes, as well as in their residences under parental supervision, and I haven't shied away from the multitude of formats in which I've tutored, which include one-on-one and group sessions, both on and offline.
I wasn't only a student while studying at Berklee Valencia. In April of 2017, I volunteered at the YMCA to teach music production to young kids who were of adolescent and teen ages. It was a week-long program in which mentors and students developed musical projects whilst learning the basics in Ableton Live, and the kids showcased their finished projects at the end of the week.
In 2023, I've taught courses in sound for video games at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) for two terms, where we conducted class in the classroom, held lab sessions, conducted recording sessions in studio space, and where I've met with students one on one to assess and discuss their trajectories relative to their degree progress and career aspirations. I love to make my pedagogy accessible to students whenever I can, which requires listening to them and getting acquainted with their learning styles in order to craft an approach that will be effective for grasping the material.
