Hi, I'm Edwin! I am a PhD student at MIT studying biological engineering, specifically genetic engineering using CRISPR technology. I did my Bachelor's degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where I majored in biomedical engineering with an emphasis on molecular and biochemical engineering techniques.
I've helped teach molecular biology to middle and high school students in a classroom & laboratory setting for outreach programs at MIT, and I realized how critical it is to ground their education using real-world examples of why these subjects are important. I try to distill complex scientific or mathematical concepts down to more tractable components and spark some excitement in learning.
Having taken both the ACT and GRE, I am also happy to work with students looking for test prep not only in science and math, but also in English and verbal reasoning.
I look forward to scheduling our first lesson!
