Hello and thank you for visiting my profile. I have been teaching math for 10 years and I have learned to love it. Math teacher was not my first choice so I was not a math expert when I started. That makes me a better math teacher because I have discovered new ways to think about certain skills that help students understand better. I have taught everything from 6th grade math all the way up to Algebra II. Currently I am teaching Financial Literacy and Investing to a group of Juniors and Seniors.
I think math is accessible to everyone and is fun when you finally get the process down. I love working with students and seeing them finally understand a concept. I am very easy going and completely non-judgmental. Math can be scary sometimes and "math anxiety" is a real thing. I know. I used to have it. I specialize in helping to support students with learning differences (disabilities). I have resources for all grades and subjects that I have used with my students so I know they are helpful and they work. I like to give students a new way to think about the math they are stuck on and that often helps them understand better.
