Hi my name is Katy and I am currently a Family Nurse Practitioner. I worked for over 4 years as a Registered Nurse in the hospital setting and then went on to continue to get my Masters Degree at Regis College. I am currently working in a Primary Care Setting. I have taught and precepted multiple nursing students in both the hospital and office setting over the past 6 years. I absolutely love what I do and that is why I love teaching to nursing students.
I try to make learning a pleasant experience for all students and try to introduce certain topics in a fun and creative way. I always advise nursing students to continue to practice the material on their own at home. Nursing is difficult but I do my best to make the material easy to learn and understand.

My goal is to have all students benefit from their tutoring sessions as much as possible and am willing to go above and beyond to make sure all students understand the material. I welcome any other resources that students have and can provide. I am very easy to reach and will always provide fast responses.

I have helped multiple nursing students study for the NCLEX. It is difficult material but I try to help students learn the material in a fun and creative way. I like to go over general material first and get a basic understanding of how well the students understand certain topics. Then I like to go over multiple questions with the student. I use different test taking strategies that were helpful to me when I took the test.
