Hi there! I'm an aerospace engineer turned tutor with a strong academic background and several years of experience helping students build confidence in math. I earned my BS in Aerospace Engineering from CU Boulder (GPA: 3.8), where I completed advanced coursework including Calculus I-III, Thermodynamics, and Orbital Mechanics, along with multiple university-level courses in Earth Science and Astronomy. I've supported students from middle school through college in subjects ranging from algebra to geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, and calculus.

I have over six years of one-on-one tutoring experience, and before that I spent eight years working with middle and high school students as a camp counselor and canoeing instructor. Those years taught me how to communicate clearly, break down complex ideas, and meet students at their level, skills that directly shape how I tutor today.

My teaching approach is patient and highly individualized. Growing up with ADHD and executive functioning challenges gave me firsthand insight into how differently students learn, so I focus on building understanding through clear, step-by-step problem-solving strategies and visual explanations that make abstract ideas more concrete. I emphasize concept-first teaching to help students develop real comprehension rather than memorization, and I incorporate organization and study-skills support when students need help managing their workload or staying on track. Above all, I work to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and confident in their ability to improve.

Parents often tell me their student feels more confident, less overwhelmed, and better prepared for tests after working together. My goal is to make math and science feel manageable, even for students who have struggled in the past, and to help them build a toolkit they can rely on long after tutoring ends.

Whether you or your student need homework help, test prep, or a stronger foundation in math, I'm here to support your success.
