I began my nursing career over 19 years ago, advancing from LPN to RN (BSN), and to a Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN, FNP-BC). I’ve worked in nursing education for over 5 years and have a passion for helping students succeed. I am well-versed in HESI, NCLEX, and board-certification prep.
Teaching nurses has been an unexpected joy of my career. I began tutoring as a graduate student, and have helped hundreds of students with test-taking strategies, study skills, organization, and clinical and didactic content. I have tutored nursing students at all levels, and from a variety of educational, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. I love to work with students of any age and at any level, whether you're just beginning your education or looking to take NCLEX soon. I’ve worked with students at the LPN/LVN, ADN, BSN and MSN levels, and with novice educators, especially those interested in using clinical simulation technologies (including A.I.). I can also help with care plans, concept maps, and papers. Whether you need APA format, grammar, content support, or an editor/expert opinion, I'm sure I can help. My clinical expertise is in community health, mental health, and complex care, but I can also provide assistance with acute and other specialty content as well as general coursework (A&P, bio, gen ed).
I believe anyone can learn anything if they are willing to think critically and take accountability. Nursing is a high-liability profession, and nurses have a reputation for being the most trusted healthcare professionals. As a student, it is easy to let your stress get the best of you and tempting to take shortcuts. This will only hinder you in practice! Learning how to think like a nurse starts with your first course and will continue to develop for your whole career. I'd to help you develop this skill from the start.
