During my high school years, I dedicated my volunteer hours to tutoring math within my school. From 10th grade until graduation, I assisted students across all grade levels, witnessing remarkable improvements in their grades. This tutoring experience provided me with a dual perspective: that of a fellow student and a mathematical educator. I understand that math can be daunting, especially after struggling for a period of time. Hence, I adopt a flexible approach where I transition from being an educator to becoming a student alongside my tutees. This approach aims to support them and let them know that I empathize with their struggles, having been in their shoes myself.
Following my college graduation, I decided to channel my passion for math into education and become a high school math teacher. It was during this time that my commitment to mathematics reached new heights. Currently, I have completed two years in the field and am eagerly looking forward to my third year as a high school math teacher. I have had the privilege of teaching in both the public and private school systems, which has provided me with a diverse range of educational standards and student profiles. My ultimate aspiration is to positively influence the younger generation's perception of mathematics, demonstrating that it is not an insurmountable subject but one that can be mastered with dedication and guidance.
