I am an expert tutor in the SAT, ACT, SSAT, ESL and AP exam prep, as well as in high school level math, English, social sciences, and sciences. I have over ten years of experience preparing students for these exams. I have worked for several of the larger test prep companies, but find that the most important thing when preparing students for standardized tests is an individualized, one-on-one approach that these larger companies can't offer. My approach is to help students identify their strengths and weaknesses and use this information to maximize their potential points on the actual exam. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
