Hello!
My name is Jillian. I graduated with honors from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Biochemistry. I minored in Drama Theatre focusing on Directing & Dramaturgy. My final projects at WPI were in Evolutionary & Developmental Biology & Genetics and in Directing & Preparing student actors for French Surrealist Theatre. I am biliterate in French due to more than ten years of private tutoring and self-study.

I have worked with all types of students grades first grade to college. I am familiar with multiple types of study styles and test preparations. I like learning about goals students have, adapt to their learning style, and work to build their study skills and goals for greater comprehension.

I have vast experience in multiple subjects. I have been a Teacher's Assistant, Camp Counselor, Library Events Volunteer, and English Tutor instructing students ages 6-17 in Science, Engineering, Math, and English Language Arts, I have mentored and instructed college-aged students in Dramatic Arts and Project Management. I have spent eight years working student engagement and outreach and have worked as tutor and mentor for English/Reading, Chemistry, Biology, Drama, Forensics, and Math. I have taught students, one-on-one, in small group, or in large classrooms. I have also worked as a Homework Mentor providing independent students structure, double checking their work, and helping them build new habits as their course work gets more difficult.

Every subject is different; just as every student is. My range has given me experience in adapting to new students and help keep them organized and engaged to build a greater understanding and passion for learning. I welcome using any resources, or learning techniques.
