Hello. My name is Brenda. I have two years experience tutoring. I have my associates in Early Childhood Education. I love teaching. Due to the current pandemic I am only accepting jobs that I can tutor through the zoom platform. So one of the things I would want to establish with my students and their families immediately is that I need to communicate with their teachers so I am always updated as to what they are having trouble with and exactly what they need to be tutored on. It is also so important to me that my students always feel confident that if they have any questions at all I need for them to ask me so I can make sure that I am doing my job and making sure they at all times understand the material.
I am a very dependable and prompt as well. I feel like both my students and their families need to understand that right out of the box. When I tutor my students from my home the space in my home in which I work is very quiet so both my student and I will be able to focus on the material. Again I feel to end this bio I want to emphasize how much I love teaching children and my goal at all times is to make sure they are learning while at the same time enjoying how I teach the lesson.
I feel that one of my strengths in English. One of my main goals as an English teacher is to make sure my students understand and feel comfortable with the method and way in which I am teaching the subject of English. If the student presents to me that they are not understanding the material then right away I find an easier way to teach the material.
I feel that another strength I have is to teach my students different and actually fun ways in which they can complete their handwriting and spelling lessons.
As for phonics one of my main goals in this academic area is to really make sure my students demonstrate to me that they are understanding their phonics lessons. Depending on the each individual student I determine how I am going to gauge them in how they are understanding the phonics material.
