As a dedicated 7th grade science and Special Education teacher with 6 years of classroom experience, I bring a unique combination of subject expertise and inclusive teaching strategies to every tutoring session. I hold a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts and dual Master’s degrees (M.Ed. and M.A.T.), and am certified in English K-8, Science 5-8, Special Education, and SEI endorsed, which have equipped me with both the content knowledge and pedagogical skills needed to make complex scientific concepts accessible to all learners.
My teaching philosophy centers on creating high-rigor learning experiences that remain accessible through differentiated instruction and hands-on engagement. Beyond the classroom, I’ve served as a teacher development coach, science department head, and science district steward, roles that have deepened my expertise in curriculum design and instructional best practices. In my classroom and tutoring sessions, I’ve successfully supported students with diverse learning needs, from those requiring special education accommodations to English language learners to advanced learners seeking enrichment. I use a variety of approaches including visual aids, real-world connections, and interactive demonstrations to ensure every student can grasp challenging concepts while building confidence in their abilities.
