I have over ten years of experience as an academic writing instructor and coach. After obtaining my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Connecticut College, I earned my Master’s and Doctoral degrees at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE). During my time at HGSE, I served as an editor of the Harvard Educational Review and worked on the staff of HGSE’s Academic Writing Center. I was the Departmental Writing Fellow for the Harvard College Department of Psychology, where I also taught research-intensive courses in psychology and advised seniors writing honors' theses. My love of innovative learning strategies led me to create classroom resources for activity-based learning as a Curriculum Fellow at Harvard's Bok Center for Teaching and Learning. I have taught undergraduate and graduate level courses in psychology, writing, education, and language development at Harvard College, HGSE, Emerson College, and the Harvard Extension School. For five (very fun) years, I taught the popular course "The Psychology of Success and Failure" as full-time faculty in the Harvard Writing program. Most recently, I taught the writing-intensive, yearlong Master’s level capstone sequence in the Harvard Extension School’s department of Psychology. I am a multiple-time recipient of Harvard's awards for Teaching Excellence.

I am a trained executive function skills coach, and I am especially passionate about helping students work through barriers with time management, procrastination, and writing avoidance. As an executive function skills coach, I work primarily with high school and college-aged students. I support students navigating the challenges of ADHD, anxiety, and perfectionism. I also work with doctoral students who are writing dissertations in the social sciences, helping them to plan or edit their dissertations.

I am passionate about helping students become unstuck in their writing and in their lives. Wherever you are, now is the right time to begin. Let me help you get your degree and graduate with confidence!

I completed an intensive one-year Executive Function Skills Coach training program with Dr. Peg Dawson and Dr. Richard Guare, educational psychologists and authors of the "Smart but Scattered" ADHD series. The coaching program included an intensive practicum experience, wherein I coached students with ADHD and received feedback from Dr. Dawson.
