Hi, I'm Tom, a recently retired chief financial officer with years of business related working experience. As a CFO, my breadth of knowledge is not only in general finance and accounting, but also in general business management, strategic planning, human resource management, information technology, and business communications.

Some of the specific skills I can assist you with include: general accounting methods; business financial analysis; Excel spread-sheeting and data analysis; business systems and information technology planning and design; staff management; and effective business communication methods, both written and oral.

Although I have no recent experience teaching or tutoring, what I do have is years of relevant experience hiring, training, and managing employees. These skill sets along with being very sociable and with the ability to be a good listener, will all lend myself to being an effective tutor for you! In addition, the company I worked with just prior to my recent retirement was a training company for which I was a key person in hiring, monitoring and evaluating trainers in the subjects of auditing and information technology auditing. I know what makes a good trainer !

My many years working in finance and accounting, mostly for small to medium companies, also gave me the opportunities to learn and work in many other areas including human resource management, marketing, IT, business operations, legal, audit, and tax preparation. Besides the skills previously noted that I can help you with, I can thus also provide you with valuable insight into the world of general business operations.
