Hi, I'm Chris! I hold a PhD in Planetary Science from Caltech, along with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Astrophysics from the University of Cambridge, England. I spent four years teaching AP-level high school physics and astronomy courses at an advanced private high school in the Boston area. As a high school teacher, I frequently worked one-on-one with students, and as a graduate student, I taught material from graduate-level courses such as Celestial Mechanics.
I offer tutoring across a wide range of topics within Physics & Astrophysics. I can help high school students with AP Physics 1, 2 and C (Mechanics along with E&M), and college students with intro-level college Physics courses such as Classical Mechanics & E&M. My expertise extends to more advanced topics within Astrophysics, Fluid Mechanics & Lagrangian-based Mechanics
I am additionally keen to prepare students for AP Physics exams (including any pre-requisite calculus), even if their schools do not offer the course. I have taught AP Physics 1 and C in their entirety for four years.
I have years of experience identifying students' sources of confusion in a wide range of subjects, and working with students to augment their understanding and grow their confidence. I genuinely love bringing topics within science to life, while integrating math in natural and intuitive ways.
Please don't hesitate to contact me with your course, where you're stuck, or what you'd like to learn!
