Elementary Teacher Skilled in Early Literacy and Math

I am a dedicated elementary educator, specifically working in the early childhood range of prek-2. I graduated from my undergraduate program in 2023 with a bachelors in early childhood education, and now work in a Kindergarten classroom where I have worked for 3 years. Before that I worked part- time as an in school tutor- supporting students, k-2, in small group instruction focusing on literacy and math skills. I have several years of classroom experience supporting students across a range of learning styles and abilities and I am certified to teach at the elementary level, with a strong foundation in literacy, math, and differentiated instruction. My training has equipped me to break down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps, helping students build both confidence and independence in their learning.

In my classroom, I focus on creating a supportive and engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking academic risks. I have experience working with diverse learners, including students who benefit from additional structure, repetition, or enrichment. I tailor each lesson to the individual student’s needs, whether they are looking to strengthen foundational skills, stay on track with schoolwork, or get ahead.

As a tutor, my goal is not only to improve academic performance but also to help students develop effective study habits and a positive mindset toward learning. I communicate regularly with families to ensure progress and alignment with classroom expectations. I strive to make each session productive, encouraging, and personalized so students leave feeling more confident and capable.
