Chemistry doesn’t have to feel confusing or intimidating, and I love helping students realize that. I earned my PhD in Chemistry from Texas A&M University, where I specialized in analytical and organic chemistry and developed strong experience in mass spectrometry, lab techniques, and advanced coursework. Throughout my studies, I worked closely with undergraduates who were learning everything from basic chemical concepts to complex reaction mechanisms, and I came to appreciate how powerful clear explanations can be in building confidence.
I have taught college-level chemistry for more than two years, including organic chemistry laboratory courses where I guided students through experiments, helped them understand why reactions behave the way they do, and supported them one-on-one during office hours. Before graduate school, I also worked as a high school chemistry tutor, helping teens tackle topics like stoichiometry, bonding, and acid-base chemistry in a way that felt manageable, not overwhelming. Working with different age groups taught me how to adjust my teaching style to match a student’s background, pace, and goals.
My approach is friendly, patient, and focused on making chemistry simpler to understand rather than something to memorize and forget. I break down tough concepts into everyday examples, explain the “why” behind the science, and encourage students to think step-by-step instead of getting lost in details. Whether you’re preparing for a high school exam, an AP class, or a college-level course in general, organic, or analytical chemistry, my goal is to help you build real understanding, boost your confidence, and maybe even enjoy learning along the way.
