Hello! My name is Emma and I am a budding science teacher and educator at my core. I graduated from Smith College with a degree for geosciences and a passion for integrating history, politics, and social systems into my scientific analysis. While at Smith I began to design a geosciences curriculum that does not shy away from context, from history and politics, from emotion and art, or from experience and value. And I’ve realized that this means constructing a new way of teaching from the ground up. Which brings me to my current chapter, a graduate degree in science education. I am in the midst of a teaching program at the High Meadows School at MIT and absolutely eager to teach and support students learning. I am curious and energetic in my teaching and am excited to work with your kids. I have a knack for helping young people uncover their own curiosity and create an empowered lens to see the world of STEMM.
