I have been teaching for over 25 years. I have a very low turnover rate, which I guess means I'm doing something right! I try very hard to make piano lessons fun for my students will giving them a high quality education. My background consists of a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from UMass Lowell & a Master's degree from Boston University in Music Performance. I have taught at prep private schools such as Brooks School in North Andover & Concord Academy in Concord, Mass. I have taught at various music studios and have always been very popular and in great demand.
I teach all styles of music from classical to popular and everything in between. I teach students as young as 6 yrs. old all the way up to adults of any age.
I use all types of method books although I tend to use the Faber & Alfred systems the most. I also work with students on some music theory, ear training, and as they are more experienced I will teach them the complete chord system as well as music composition if they so desire. Since I am also a DJ on the weekends, I am very much up to date with the music students like and if appropriate, I will teach it to them.
