I believe I was born to be a teacher. I absolutely love helping all students learn something new. I love to challenge myself and my students. I was a year ahead in math from middle school through high school, and in AP classes in all humanities classes. I attended Vassar College for my undergraduate degree, where I majored in History, and The Catholic University of America for both my Master's and Doctorate degrees in Historical Musicology. I’m an experienced and excellent writer. I have worked as an editor. I am a classically trained soprano, and there is always a song in my head. I have two teenaged boys and two dogs. I’m an excellent writer. I silently correct other people’s grammatical errors. I am an avid reader. Reading improves writing and language skills in general. When helping kids and adults with reading, I remind them to pay attention to punctuation. I diagram sentences for fun. I also am a word puzzle fan. I find games to help all of my students. When
