I have been a teacher for 8 years, 7 of those years have been with special education. I love teaching and helping children reach their greatest potential. I understand how difficult some subjects can be and I'm patient enough to work through the struggle.

I received my master's of science from Wheelock College. I also have a bachelor of science in psychology. Since being a teacher in Massachusetts I understand and know the common core standards and use them to help foster student learning. Modifying and breaking down ideas and concepts to ensure that I am meeting the needs of the student.

I am able to help students understand the rules of spelling as well as break down words to make them easier to spell.

I have worked with elementary aged students for 5 years and understand the common core standards of Massachusetts.

I myself have moderate dyslexia and have learned tools and tricks to become a better reader, speller, and to be able to process information more efficiently.

I have worked and continue to work with students on the autism spectrum for 7 years. I understand that each child is an individual and will tailor my teaching to meet the needs of the students.

I understand how challenging school can be and how overwhelming it is. I will be able to provide an understanding of the material so that it won't be such a challenge.
