My focus + passion is providing personalized intervention to students: college admissions essay editing + strategy for undergraduates, transfer students and graduate school applicants , executive functioning assessment + coaching to students in grades 7- college + academic writing tutoring. I am a certified teacher with 16 years experience, a PhD Degree, post graduate training (an CAGS) and thousands of hours of specialized training as well as reviewing more than 30,000 admissions essays as a reviewer, evaluator , + supervisor for Ivy League, highly competitive schools including those using the Common APP and the University of California application.

I recognize that all students learn in unique ways. As such, my approach is one that adapts to a student's needs & preferences. I believe that students must feel comfortable in order to learn. I strive to create rapport and an environment conducive to learning. I encourage students to ask questions and use examples to illustrate concepts.

I have worked with students of all ages & abilities for more than 18 years. Presently, I am working with students in grades 7- college.
I have also taught English, ELA, Spanish and history for students in grades 9, 10, 11, 12, and university classes during my years of teaching at public and private institutions.

Currently, I divide my time between suburban Boston where I work as full time tutor and educational consultant. I also teach classes at the university level for teachers. I spend my summers in Vermont. I enjoy learning new things and meeting new people, reading voraciously, traveling, drinking coffee, baking, and playing with my small rescue dog named Annie.

I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your academic goals.
