20-Year High School Math Teacher | Algebra 1 through AP Calculus

I have taught and tutored high school math for twenty years, covering the following courses: Prealgebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre calculus, AP Precalculus, and AP Calculus AB. I also tutor SAT and ACT math. I hold both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in mathematics and am a licensed teacher. Working with students, including those with learning disabilities, across this full range of courses has given me a strong understanding of how mathematical ideas connect, where students typically get stuck, and how to present concepts using multiple representations. I frequently use technology in my teaching, especially Desmos, but also TI graphing calculators.

When we work together, I will help you analyze a question, visualize the problem, set up equations, and move step by step toward a solution. We can pause at any point to reinforce an idea or concept. We can work from a study guide you bring, or I can create problems for you to review and practice. My style is straightforward, patient, adaptable, and supportive—I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and confident in your progress.
