Prior to teaching, I was (and still am) a registered nurse. I am confident that I can assist children to gain an understanding of the material that is causing them difficulty by working with them in a private one-on-one situation in their own home where they can relax and be comfortable. Everyone wants to be successful in what they do and I believe all children want this as well. Learning should be fun and interesting and that is my goal for each child. I have experience in many areas of teaching including the Montessori Method of teaching. I am versed in using the Story Grammar Marker, and use other strategies as well. I am certified as a consultant teacher of reading with my C.A.G.S. from AIC, and a master's degree in Moderate Special Needs from Westfield.
