Hello, I'm Cait! I'm a Latin, Ancient Greek, Koine Greek, and German tutor who prides herself in her students' success. My range of students includes primary school, high school, college, and adult learners. Under my tutelage, my students gain confidence in their language skills, improve their grades, and discover a newfound appreciation for these tough subjects.

For nearly two decades, I have studied Latin, Ancient Greek, German and English at a high academic level and taught hundreds of college or secondary students. I received my master’s degree from UCLA in Classical Languages in 2018 and have worked in the Classics and English departments at UCLA, UCSanDiego and UMass Amherst.

In my lessons, I adapt my methodology to student needs, maximizing our time together with creative assessments, exciting content, dynamic discussion and engaging questions. Tutoring, for me, is a means of confident education. My students take as much pride in their education as I do in theirs.

A perfect day for me would involve reading, oil painting, or hiking with my 8 lb dog, Mackerel, in the forests of New England. I look forward to helping you or your child master the incredible languages of Latin, Ancient Greek, and German!

I have four years experience of English teaching at the high school level, and a few more years teaching English at the college level. Additionally, I specialize in College Essay writing and have had great success with my students and their essays. I am AP College Board certified to teach AP English Literature and AP English Language and Composition. While teaching high school AP English, my students scored well above the national and state average.

Having lived and studied in Germany, I became fluent in German after over a decade of study. I've studied German since a young age and continued all the way through graduate school, picking up a minor from UMass Amherst, credit from the Albert Ludwigs Universität Freiburg, and a certification of fluency in German from UCLA. I have experience working with students of all ages and all levels of German!

In my high school AP English courses--I taught both AP English Literature and AP English Language--I included a unit on College Essay writing, which had incredible success. Students set themselves apart from other applications and received acceptance into their top schools. Additionally, I'm AP College Board certified to teach AP English Literature and Language, and have taken courses through the College Board on teaching/grading the exam. My students, through 6 scores on their essays, achieved well above the national and state average.
