As a now-matriculated Bachelor's Student from Salem State University majoring in Biology with minors in both Chemistry and Psychology, I have spent the past few years honing my passion for tutoring and supporting students academically in the sciences and advanced writing. I scored 32 on the ACT first try, 1420 on the SAT first try, and am a recipient of the AP Honors Scholar award for my 4 in AP Biology and 5 in AP World History. I graduated with a 3.97 GPA at Salem State University and I am set to graduate in May 2025. My academic journey has equipped me with a deep understanding of the sciences, which I am eager to share with others. Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a Peer Tutor at Salem State where I’ve guided students through complex biology and chemistry concepts.

Additionally, I’ve spent 2 years as a Supplemental Instructor, where I developed more collaborative and engaging study sessions that promoted active learning and long-term retention.

Beyond college-level tutoring, I have three years of experience tutoring high school students, helping them build confidence in their academic abilities. My approach centers on identifying each student’s unique strengths and finding effective study strategies tailored to their needs. I focus on bridging the gap between prior knowledge and new concepts, ensuring that students gain a solid foundation while fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. My ultimate goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to succeed academically.

I have a well-rounded vocal background, starting with middle school choir and continuing through high school ensemble and leading roles in several junior musical theatre productions, where I gained valuable experience in live performances. These opportunities helped me build a solid foundation in vocal technique and stage presence. In college, I deepened my knowledge through voice pedagogy classes, where I learned both the theory and practical methods behind vocal training, further strengthening my abilities as both a performer and a student of voice.

As a writing tutor, I have experience helping students improve their writing across various subjects, including academic literature, creative writing, and medicine. Knowledgeable, kind and patient.

Isaiah is very easy to understand. My son really enjoys working with him! He’s knowledgeable in many different subjects, so he’s pretty much a one stop shop for a tutor which is really nice.
