I have my BA in Mathematics from the University of California, San Diego and my MBA from NYU Stern School of Business. I was a Math Teacher for 8 years with 3 years in public schools and 5 years in private schools, and prior to that I was a teaching assistant and tutor while in college. I have 8 years of classroom experience teaching Algebra 1 Honors and Algebra 1 CP to students in grades 8–10. I hold a BA in Mathematics from the University of California and an MBA from NYU, and I’ve taught hundreds of students with a wide range of abilities. As the Algebra 1 team lead, I became well-versed in MCAS preparation and Common Core standards, and I developed multiple problem-solving strategies to help students approach concepts from different angles. I enjoy working with students, anticipating common pitfalls, and building their confidence in mathematics.
