Hi, I'm Tom! I graduated from Northeastern University in 2015 with a mathematics major and an education minor, and received my masters in education technology in 2017. After undergrad, I taught math at a top public high school in Massachusetts for 10 years. During my teaching career I taught every subject the school offered across multiple levels. Subjects I taught include Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Financial Literacy, and AP Statistics. My specialties would be Trigonometry and Pre-Calculus, which I taught for 8 years and at every level the school offered, and AP Statistics, a class for which I received training and certification at the AP Summer Institute at St. Johnsbury.
I have been tutoring high school math subjects occasionally since 2012 with freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Since 2020, I have been tutoring online and in person for SAT Math. I also taught an SAT Math Review group course from 2020 to 2025 in groups ranging in size from 4 to 20 students for five years. During SAT tutoring sessions I provide brief lessons in concepts that appear on the SATs with a few sample problems before moving on to paper-based and computer-based practice problems from College Board, textbooks, and other trusted resources
For the last two years I have been tutoring more frequently online via Google Meet. I am well-versed in all high school math subjects, and look forward to helping you or your student work through math challenges!
