My name is Faith and I hold a bachelors in Political Science from Haverford College and currently tutor students in elementary, middle, and high school, with a focus on math (through AB Calculus) and analytical writing. My goal is to help students build the critical thinking and study skills they need to approach challenging concepts with confidence and independence. Whether a student is working to improve reading fluency or master algebraic functions, I tailor each session to strengthen the skills that will support long-term academic success.
Along with academic tutoring, I specialize in standardized test preparation for the ISEE, SSAT, and SAT. Having scored a 2260 on the SAT under the former 2400 scale and a 1500 on the current format, I am able to bring firsthand experience and effective strategies to my tutoring sessions.
Having attended one of the top prep schools in Massachusetts for middle and high school, I understand the admissions landscape from both the student and mentor perspective. I have assisted many students in applying to—and being accepted at—some of the most competitive prep schools in the state. I guide students not only through test preparation, but also through understanding what selective schools are looking for, how to present themselves effectively, and how to approach the process with clarity and confidence. Helping students build confidence and achieve their strongest possible scores for prep school and college admissions is my ultimate goal!
