Dear students and families,

My name is Sarah K. I graduated with a BA in psychology from Brandeis University in 2021 with a 3.7 GPA. In late 2023, obtained an MA in psychology from William James University with a 3.9 GPA. Regarding my tutoring, I specialize in study skills, psychology, writing, and more. I have experience with both scientific and creative writing.

Note: I do not provide therapeutic services, only study-based services!

My background enables me to effectively work with students who encounter difficulties such as anxiety around studying, as well as neurodiverse students who might have adhd, autism, and learning disabilities to meet their studying goals. As someone who is also neurodiverse myself, I understand the struggles that come with needing accommodations and modifications to study methods. I love to help out with troubleshooting executive function difficulties and get individuals on the right track with their studying! A large amount of my coursework surrounded development, cognition, learning styles, and more. Because of this coursework, I have many strategies available to help students learn material.

I am enthusiastic about teaching psychology (especially social psychology, developmental psychology, and abnormal psychopathology) to students of all ages and academic levels. I am also highly enthusiastic about English as a subject. I am qualified to help with writing issues, organizing papers, and analyzing text. I can offer guidance on all types of writing, from scientific and highly academic writing that requires sources and citations to more creative projects such as poetry or fiction.

My approach is straightforward, neurodiversity affirming, and ultimately based on each individual student's needs. I acknowledge that different strategies will work for different brains, and it is pivotal to use trial and error to find what works best for everyone.

Note: I do not provide therapeutic services, only study based services.
