Bio

I am a retired Math teacher who has taught in regular and Special Needs classrooms. I have a B.A. in Math and Psych from Boston College. Later, I received a M.Ed. in Special Needs and taught Math in the Public Schools and Special Needs Private Schools. I have taught at the Community College Level and University Level (" Math for People Who Hate Math"). I am a college professor in Psychology. I do college counseling by helping students transfer to a different college or change their major. Sometimes students don't know what to major in. They don't know what they want to do as a career. I do vocational counseling with them. Many students don't know what colleges to go to for specific majors. Lastly, it is a big decision about to go to a big school or a small college (a 4 year school or a Jr College and then transfer). In a few cases, students feel homesick and want to come home. Many freshmen feel overwhelmed and do poorly in school. They may need counseling.

I have a M.Ed. in Special Ed. I have tutored many students with study skills problems in the regular classroom and resource room. I help them get organized(write down their assignments in their agenda). Then, we work on the homework and most importantly pass it in.

I have 20 years' experience coaching tennis at the high school level. I presently coach at Canton HS. I have been Boston Globe Tennis Coach of the year. I teach tennis privately, play and umpire tennis professionally.

Great Experience

I needed to hire a tutor for my daughter to do her AP work before school startsd. She has some issues like ADHD and OCD but she was extremely bright. H e was really good at assessing what her needs were very quickly. We had a great experience with him and my daughter felt immediately comfortable with him which was a hug plus!
