Dear prospective students, I am a well-qualified tutor ready to support your academic journey with my zest for academics!

My academic background consists of being valedictorian of my graduating high school class and currently pursuing an undergraduate degree at my Ivy League institution, Dartmouth College, in Evolutionary Biology and Art History. To become valedictorian (1st of 185 students), I accomplished many feats. I received straight “A”s in all my high school classes, and scored eight “5”s as well as three “4”s on the twelve AP exams I took. I earned straight “A”s in three dual enrollment classes: Criminology, World Cultures, and Sociology. I achieved a perfect 4.0 unweighted and a high 4.686/5.0 weighted GPA. For my SAT, I received a 1470 (740 in Reading & Writing and 730 in Math). On my ACT, I obtained a 35/36 in Mathematics, 35/36 in Reading, 31/36 in Science (optional), and 11/12 Writing (optional). Additionally, I have more high school awards than there are letters in the alphabet—which is a testament to my success in the liberal arts.

My tutoring experience spans over the past four years. I’ve worked online in 1-on-1 sessions for three different students in a volunteer position offered for underprivileged families who are unable to regularly afford tutoring. I’ve tutored students in-person through my high school’s National Honor Society program, helping my lowerclassmen peers. In addition to this, I worked professionally as a teacher’s assistant in a local AP Biology/CP1 Biology classroom, grading student work, creating study resources, and assisting the students in class.

My teaching strategies include explanations interspersed with everyday conversations via boom-and-bust cycles of learning, having students explain their knowledge to me in their own words as if I were a 6-year-old, and utilizing mnemonics.

Overall, I am a well-versed tutor able to handle any section of the liberal arts education that is thrown at me from elementary to early college-level academics.
