I recently graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a 3.95 GPA. I have a strong academic background in math, problem solving, and analytical reasoning, and I enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects that may feel intimidating at first.
I have several years of tutoring and teaching experience with students at different levels. In high school, I supported students in Math 2 and Math 3 through the Summer Enrichment Program, and I later worked as a teacher’s assistant for a 10th grade Math 2 class. In college, I worked as a Peer Tutor at UMass Amherst’s Learning Resource Center for five semesters, completing nearly 300 tutoring visits and supporting students in courses such as Programming Methodology, Reasoning Under Uncertainty, General Chemistry, and Calculus III.
My tutoring style is patient, flexible, and student-centered. I like to break problems into smaller steps, ask guiding questions, and help students understand why each step works instead of simply memorizing formulas. For SAT/ACT math, I focus on strengthening core skills in algebra, geometry, functions, data analysis, and problem-solving strategies while also helping students become more comfortable with pacing, answer choices, and avoiding common mistakes.
