My background in the field of music perception and cognition has allowed me to develop a broad array of skills relevant to interdisciplinary research. This includes skills in statistics, experimental design, laboratory methods, and computer science, as well as a deep base knowledge of Biology, Psychology, and Music Theory.

Throughout my career, I have eagerly pursued any teaching and mentorship opportunities available to me. I have run laboratory sections for undergraduate-level Biology and Genetics courses, and I have conducted one-on-one mentorship with undergraduate and graduate-level research collaborators. These mentor/mentee relationships have taken the form of both one-time meetings to solve specific issues, and consistent weekly meetings to make progress on overarching projects.

Currently, I teach an undergraduate-level course on Creative Cognition. My primary goal as an educator is to be an effective resource for my students. I help my students operationalize their own educational targets, map out progress markers, and stay committed to their goals. The keys to my educational practice are my clear communication style, my commitment towards accommodating my students' individual needs, and my ability to draw on my rich experience as an interdisciplinary scientist to help my students make progress within their own field of interest.
