About Sarah

Bio

As a teacher of middle school students for sixteen years, as well as holding two Master's degrees, I have a lifetime love of learning. I hold an undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont in Education, as well as a Master's degree in English and a Master's degree in School Counseling, both from Salem State University. I would love to impart that love of learning to my students, and to give them some confidence and success in areas in which they are currently struggling.

I hold an undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont in Education, as well as a Master's degree in English and a Master's degree in School Counseling, both from Salem State University. I would love to impart that love of learning to my students, and to give them some confidence and success in areas in which they are currently struggling.

I specialize in ELA, mostly in written expression and literature based skills and concepts. Sessions would be geared toward individual needs and areas of weakness. Lessons would aim at assisting students get a better understanding of the task, practice the task after receiving explicit instruction, and would occasionally be given a homework assignment. Student progress would be communicated to parents and students.

I am available from 2:30 - 9:00pm Mondays and Tuesdays. 2:30-4:30 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I am also available on alternate weekends from 9am-9pm. My rate is $100/hr and I require a three hour notice of cancellation. I am also happy to arrange an online session as well for $50/hr.
