I’m a bilingual (English/Spanish) educator with extensive experience tutoring students from kindergarten through college across English, Spanish, writing, math, history, social studies, and debate. I hold a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University, where I was on the Dean’s List, and I’ve worked in both K–12 and university-level academic settings. My tutoring approach is structured, patient, and highly individualized. I focus on building strong foundational skills while helping students develop clarity, confidence, and independent learning strategies. In writing and humanities subjects, I emphasize organization, argument development, and clear communication. In math and reading, I follow standards-aligned learning paths and adapt instruction to meet each student’s needs. I am experienced with Common Core standards and curricula such as Exact Path, Delta Math, Teachers College Reading & Writing Project, and Off2Class, and I work closely with students to ensure concepts truly stick rather than relying on memorization alone.
Beyond tutoring, I bring a strong background in coaching, recruiting, and mentoring, including serving on the board of the Cornell Speech and Debate Program and mentoring students through academic, personal, and professional growth. This broader experience allows me to support students not only with coursework, but also with writing, critical thinking, and college readiness.
