Hello, I’m Anthony! I have worked as an economic consultant in the pharmaceutical industry ever since my graduation from Boston College in 2024. I have two bachelor’s from my amazing alma mater in mathematics and economics and spent time tutoring student-athletes in both of these subjects. Interestingly, the typical work that I perform at my job is a combination of these two fields, made up of deep research, statistics, and market-share forecasting. In addition to analytical skills and business acumen, I have honed my client-communication through working with a variety of companies and teams. This is something that I highly value, as it translates to my ability to explain detailed concepts to my unique students!
I found my passion for teaching as a teaching assistant for Introduction to Economics. While leading a weekly discussion class, holding office hours, and grading assignments and tests, I found myself deeply passionate about helping communicate knowledge to other people. It is beyond rewarding when I am able to help students have those "ah hah!" moments where all of the material begins to click. When you are striving to succeed, I am right there with you, linking my success inextricably to yours. This desire and joy that I found in working with so many unique people was strengthened as I began tutoring student-athletes in Multivariable Calculus, Econometrics, Macroeconomics, and Introduction to Economics. As someone who always wanted to be a teacher in some capacity, this tutoring opportunity allowed me to fulfill that desire while also pursuing my studies.
I think learning is meant to be fun and recognize how the modern education system has failed us. But you deserve better! You deserve teachers that are engaging and passionate and who make the course material come alive! I aim to show how mathematics and economics can guide us in our daily lives and help us to be more intelligent, successful, and thoughtful people. I look forward to meeting you!
