My academic and research journey began with master's degrees in Biotechnology and Oncology, which sparked my lasting passion for biomedical science and education. I went on to earn a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from Paris XI University in France and spent over ten years at UT Southwestern Medical Center in the United States conducting research in hematopoietic stem cell biology and cancer. Throughout my career, I have tutored students and mentored undergraduates, graduate students, Ph.D. candidates, and junior scientists, helping them strengthen their scientific knowledge, develop critical thinking skills, and build confidence in their abilities. My research background allows me to bring real-world scientific examples into my lessons, helping students connect theoretical concepts with practical applications.

I tutor a wide range of subjects in biology and biotechnology, including hematology, oncology, metabolism, genetics, physiology, anatomy, microbiology, cell biology, and biochemistry. My teaching approach is structured, engaging, and personalized to each student's learning style, existing knowledge, and academic goals. I believe that even the most challenging concepts become easier to understand when broken down into clear, bite-sized explanations and explored step by step. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and actively engage with the material rather than rely on memorization alone. Whether we are reviewing difficult topics, working through complex problems, or preparing for exams, I tailor each lesson to address individual challenges, strengthen foundational knowledge, and develop problem-solving skills. My goal is to make learning an enjoyable and rewarding experience while helping every student become a more confident and independent learner.

Approved Subjects

Anatomy

Anatomy

With a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology and extensive biomedical research experience, I have a strong foundation in human anatomy, physiology, and the structure and function of biological systems. I can help high school students understand basic human anatomy, organ systems, anatomical terminology, body planes, and major bones and muscles, while college students can explore detailed organ anatomy, tissue organization, the cardiovascular, nervous, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems, and the relationship between anatomy and physiology. For graduate-level students, I can clarify advanced concepts involving cellular and tissue organization, organ function, disease mechanisms, and the connections between molecular biology and human physiology. My teaching approach emphasizes clear, step-by-step explanations, practical examples, and personalized guidance to help students build a strong conceptual foundation and apply their knowledge confidently.
Biochemistry

Biochemistry

With a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology and 16 years of biomedical research experience, I bring a strong foundation in biochemistry, metabolism, molecular biology, and cellular processes. I help high school students understand foundational concepts such as biomolecules, enzymes, and cellular respiration; college students explore enzyme kinetics, metabolic pathways, bioenergetics, protein structure and function, and gene regulation; and graduate students develop a deeper understanding of advanced topics, including metabolic regulation, mitochondrial function, redox biology, and biochemical mechanisms of disease. My extensive research experience with experimental models, molecular techniques, metabolomics, and data interpretation enables me to connect theoretical concepts with real-world scientific applications. My teaching approach emphasizes clear, step-by-step explanations, critical thinking, and practical examples tailored to each student's level and learning goals.
Biology

Biology

I hold a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology and have over 17 years of experience in biomedical research, with a strong foundation in biology, biotechnology, and life sciences. My expertise includes cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, hematology, oncology, metabolism, physiology, anatomy, microbiology, and biochemistry, with extensive research experience in hematopoietic stem cell biology.
Genetics

Genetics

I hold a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology and have extensive experience in genetics through biomedical research, including cancer biology, hematopoietic stem cell biology, and gene regulation. I can help students understand topics such as Mendelian genetics, inheritance patterns, Punnett squares, genetic linkage, mutations, gene expression, molecular genetics, and genetic engineering. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex genetic concepts and problems into clear, manageable steps, using examples and guided practice to build understanding.
Microbiology

Microbiology

I have a strong foundation in microbiology through my Ph.D. training in cell and molecular biology and extensive biomedical research experience. I can help high school students understand microbial diversity, bacterial and viral structure, infection, immunity, and disease, while college students can explore microbial physiology, metabolism, genetics, gene regulation, antibiotic mechanisms, antimicrobial resistance, and host–pathogen interactions. For graduate students, I can explain advanced concepts such as microbial pathogenesis, molecular mechanisms of infection, bacterial gene transfer, viral replication, experimental design, and interpretation of research data. My teaching approach emphasizes clear, step-by-step explanations that simplify complex concepts while developing critical thinking and scientific problem-solving skills.
