My Spanish lessons follow what I call the Tree Method: beginning with pronunciation and verb conjugation, then expanding to prepositions, nouns, and adjectives, before developing more sophisticated expression while preserving each student's unique voice.
I also draw on my knowledge of Latin American culture and popular media to make lessons more engaging, memorable, and practical.
In math and physics tutoring, I typically begin with three practice problems to build understanding and confidence. I strive to create a supportive environment where mistakes are welcomed as part of learning rather than feared. When appropriate, I introduce trick problems to help students identify irrelevant information and strengthen problem-solving skills.
When teaching new material, I often start with a problem and use it to introduce the underlying concepts before working through the solution. Students consistently describe my teaching style as energetic, approachable, and engaging.
