I had an opportunity to go abroad to Spain during the summer after my freshman year in college to fulfill an entire years worth of credits and as a biology major at the time, I thought that this would be the best way for me to open up space to take more science courses. Little did I know that I would fall in love with the Spanish language, people, culture and so much more! I changed my major to Spanish, studied abroad for a semester in Salamanca, Spain and then went on to receive my Master's of Arts in Teaching Spanish. I then began teaching high school Spanish and here I am, years later still going strong teaching! I love my full-time job and enjoy tutoring so much. It's such a rewarding feeling for both me and my students when they have that "ah-ha" moment and it all just clicks.

I have taught Spanish at the high school level for over 25 years and have taught all levels and ages including novice, intermediate, advanced and Advanced Placement Language and Culture. I have traveled extensively to 11 different Spanish speaking countries with and without my students. I have also lived in Spain, Costa Rica and Argentina for either school or work. And most importantly, I love teaching Spanish to my students because it is a real world skill that students can apply immediately in the real world and it's a tool that they will have for the rest of their lives!
